18 REASONS NOT TO — USE THE DRUG CLENBUTEROL PART TWO [CONCLUSION]
By Jackie Paisley, Former IFBB Pro Bodybuilder | Intro by Ben Yosef
Last month we introduced this critical article regarding the use of the drug, Clenbuterol AKA “CLEN.” Clen is incredibly popular with physique athletes (primarily with non dug-tested shows) when it comes to loosing body fat and “drying out” during preparation for a contest. It is VERY dangerous and poses extreme health risks and complications, many of which cannot be reversed. So, read on and learn more about why you SHOULD NOT be using this dangerous drug.
Less muscle strength
FIFTEEN – Low acetylcholine (ACH). Clen depletes and affects precursors to ACH-as well as affects what BINDS to ACH. ACH is called a LIGAND to receptors like nicotinic (nicotine) receptors and muscarinic receptors. We have these in the brain and muscles. This can cause many issues like depleted muscles, less muscle strength-and in extreme cases-fibromyalgia.
SIXTEEN – Memory and depression. Clen can also affects AMPA-which serves as a stimulant to receptors called glutamate. This can cause issues with other chemicals responsible for long-term memory, the resilience of the brain (synaptic plasticity), as well as allow too much monoamine oxidase-which can deplete neurotransmitters in the synapses (depression).
SEVENTEEN – MORE BRAIN STUFF! I see nootropics appearing in many supplements these days. I used them for quite awhile-and had to fix the paths that were shut off from them! I will never use them again-nor do I need to. Combining supplements with these nootropics -with clen, is very bad. One way this can cause damage is with vitamin d receptors in the organ of zuckernandl (Z).
“Z” is also a hub and distribution center for- not only those catecholamines, but for chromaffin cells, DNA, gene, and RNA information. Vitamin d receptors, here, have a very important function-and use interleukin 4, hormones, growth factors, and more. This problem can also be caused or enhanced from the tetanus shot. One shot and this function can be shut down. This is not hard to fix-but takes at least a month. Hormones do not work as well at all-among very important functions that sustain our immune systems through DNA/RNA/genes. So-if you want less hormone or DNA function later in life, go ahead!
“Neuron regeneration and antioxidant function in the brain hindered.”
EIGHTEEN – Neuron regeneration and antioxidant function in the brain hindered. Again-this can happen with the combo of clen and nootropics. We have a hormone called melatonin in our brains-which is produced in the pineal gland. However, the breakdown of melatonin can hold a golden key. It produces “pinoline.” Pinoline (involved in neurogenesis) chaperones important nutrients across the blood brain barrier (BBB), serves as an antioxidant, and prevents ALES (advanced lipoxidation -end products) from building up. When Clen plus nootropics are used-pinoline is not produced as well. ALEs build up in the brain-and this ends up affecting mitochondria and a part of the cells called lyosomes. The cell mitochondria cannot carry our functions within themselves-so they use lysosomes as messenger boys to run their errands. This uses A LOT of dopamine, as well as zinc. Zinc depletion in of itself can cause depression, let alone high dopamine demand/less dopamine.
BONUS REASON #NINETEEN – Increased muscle adhesions, and less myogenesis. A big part of our longevity as competitors is-NOT GETTING INJURED. Muscle adhesions are like “splinted scars” that not only can eventually tear-but they can also affect the way we grow, flex muscles onstage, and our strength.
A very big part of this process of upkeep and cleaning up adhesions, involves ENDORPHINS. Clen-and especially clen plus anabolics-can hinder 3 things that have to be in the muscle junction, in order for the endorphins to help break down micro-scars and keep adhesions from forming. So-this spells “less recovery and growth” over time. Yes-therapy and body work are really helpful-but how is the muscle going to react? Will it respond?
“…if your metabolism isn’t as efficient as before, it may not just be ‘age.’ The use of clen can be one of those reasons!”
Another possible issue-is with the generation of muscle-or “myogenesis.” There are 3 steps to myogenesis-and it is associated with fetuses developing in the womb. However, it is very possible, as adults, to generate new muscle! Clen can interfere with the 3rd step of myogenesis called “fusion.” I am actually working with this function in athletes, to help them naturally and safely build muscle. When myogenesis is complete-the possibility of mitochondrial increase is also possible! Even though much of this may need in depth explanation-the main points to grasp are all here.
Competing, and even lifting weights for yourself-should get better with time, not harder! Yes-there are more challenges and overloads as you move forward-but if your metabolism isn’t as efficient as before, It may not just be “age.” The use of clen can be one of those reasons! It was for me, and those of whom I have helped.
